How much should I expect to pay for a 8-10 minute corporate or industrial video?

Answer

We get this question all the time, and there is no simple answer. In fact, if a video production company quotes you a price over the phone, you probably should keep looking. Film or video production can’t be sold “by the pound” – or in this case - “by the minute”.

Every video project is unique and pricing is dependent on a number of different factors. Program length is only one of them. A simple 10 minute “how to” training video for example can sometimes be shot in as little as one day. Acquiring quality footage for a 5 minute, high production value corporate image video can take weeks.

Make sure you’re given enough information to make an informed decision. If you receive multiple quotes that are many thousands of dollars apart, there is usually a good reason. Insist that any proposal you receive includes a creative treatment and a detailed explanation of the production process and the technology that will be employed.
